Franklin

Franklin is the first piece I've ever started with a name already attached. Our friends asked that I name this fox sculpture Franklin, and I happily obliged.

Red foxes are among the most widely distributed wild animals on Earth — found across nearly the entire Northern Hemisphere, from the British Isles to continental Europe to Japan, and woven into folklore and art wherever they roam. That same fox is just as much a fixture here in southeastern Pennsylvania, where we see them often, especially through the winter months. Franklin is a nod to both sides of that — a creature with a presence that spans the globe, and one that's simply part of the landscape outside my own door.

This piece is built from reclaimed steel, bicycle gears, and chain, and is still taking shape in the studio. Price and availability will be confirmed once it's finished, but I'm happy to answer questions about it in the meantime.
